Scholarships
HSBC Bank A.Þ. is committed to helping to ensure a brighter future for the young people of Turkey, developing local projects in conjunction with TOG (Social Volunteers Foundation), as well as providing a program of on-going scholarships for more than 1,200 students through ÇYDD (ASSOCIATION FOR THE SUPPORT OF CONTEMPORARY LIVING) and the Bosphorus University Foundation. Our social responsibility programs designed to contribute to ensuring that the next generation is educated and forward-looking, equipped for today’s global economy, are expanding every year. The E-statements Supporting Education program that we launched in August 2006 was transformed into a broad-based social initiative. As a part of the program, donations in the name of customers who chose to receive their statements by e-mail were made for six months of 2006 to ÇYDD and for the first six months of 2007 to TOG. For every 500 customers who opted to have their statements sent by e-mail, the project made it possible to fund a student’s scholarship for one month.
