Partner Schools

Initiated in 2007, Partner Schools project is still ongoing with more than 130 elementary schools in 55 provinces. Support in various areas such as books, stationery equipment, coats, shoes, classroom equipment and school infrastructure is provided through voluntary help of HSBC employees and corporate donations. Based on a sustainable relationship, Partner Schools project expand each year.

JA More Than Money

Junior Achievement Education Foundation, More Than Money program is financed by HSBC in nearly 40 countries. Initiated by HSBC employees on a voluntary basis in 2010 in elementary schools, the project is planned to be expanded to the whole country in 5 years. In this program, basic notions such as the role of money in society, being a smart customer and setting up a business to earn money are taught. The aim is to teach the students to use practical information they learned from the program in daily life and make decisions by knowing.

Corporate Volunteer Association

HSBC is a member of Corporate Volunteer Association (ÖSGD) since 2007. The association aims to make voluntary action to be a part of the corporate employees’ lives and to contribute to corporate culture. As a part of the board of directors, HSBC employees take part in the association’s projects. HSBC employees voluntarily contribute to elementary school students’ education through “Curious Books” and “Environmentalist Penguins” projects. It is aspired to be expanded to the whole country in 2015.

Education Scholarships

To provide the youth with a bright future, HSBC continuously donates to students via Association in Support of Contemporary Living (ÇYDD) and Boğaziçi University Foundation. We aim to create a conscious and educated generation, thus expand our social responsibility project every year. Last year we transformed our project “Support Education with e-statement” into a social movement with broad participation. As a part of the project, on behalf of our customers who have agreed to receive their balances via e-mail, we donated to ÇYDD for 6 months in 2006 and again for 6 months in 2007 to TOG. Within the scope of the project, expanse of a university student for a month is donated for each 500 balances.
