By tapping your demand deposit account, the HSBC Debit Card provides the opportunity to shop at 14 million outlets that display the Electron/Maestro symbol even if you do not have cash with you.

How does a purchase or cash withdrawal abroad in the local currency affect my account balance?

The purchase or withdrawal is registered at the time of the transaction. The record is completed when the financial transaction arrives from abroad in 3-4 days. The equivalent TL amount is calculated with that day's exchange rate and then deducted from your account.

What is the maximum amount I can withdraw at ATMs using the HSBC Debit Card?

The cash withdrawal limit is currently TL 1,000,00.

How Can I link accounts to my HSBC Debit Card?

To link your accounts to your HSBC Debit Card, all you need to do is to visit your branch or call HSBC Bank Telephone Banking 0850 211 0 111. Of all the accounts linked to your HSBC Debit Card, at most 20 can be viewed through our ATMs. You can access your main TL demand deposit account through other banks' ATMs and overseas ATMs.

What is the validity period of an HSBC Debit Card? Do I need to apply for a new card when my current card expires?

An HSBC Debit Card is valid for 2 years. Cards are automatically printed and sent to the customer's address 1 month before expiry. The Card PIN does not change.

How will I receive my HSBC Debit Card and PIN?

Your HSBC Debit Card is sent to the address (work or home) stated in your application form via a courier company or by express post (APS) where a courier is not available.
