Selim Kervancı - Chief Executive Officer

Selim Kervancı is a graduate of Istanbul Technical University, Department of Electrical Engineering. He holds a master's degree in Business Administration from Vrije University in Brussels.

Kervancı held a number of roles in HSBC Group since 1996. He was HSBC Türkiye Head of Financial Institutions and Correspondent Banking between 2001 and 2005, and Head of Investment Banking between 2005 and 2010. Kervancı was Head of Global Banking and Investment Banking at HSBC Türkiye until 2014 following the role he took on as Investment Banking Director responsible from Middle East, North Africa and Turkey (MENAT) in Dubai. Selim Kervancı was appointed as the Chief Executive Officer of HSBC Türkiye on 1 July 2016.

Selim Kervancı is also Chairman of HSBC Yatırım Menkul Değerler A.Ş. (Securities Company).

Burçin Ozan - Chief Financial Officer

Burçin Ozan is a graduate of Istanbul University, Department of Economics. Prior to joining HSBC Türkiye in 2002, Ozan worked for four years at Andersen Consulting, where she worked in auditing, tax consulting and mergers and acquisitions for financial institutions. She became a Certified Public Accountant while she was at Andersen Consulting.

During her time at HSBC Türkiye, she held a number of managerial roles within the Finance team including Head of Tax, Head of Reporting and Financial Control. In August 2015, she was appointed as CFO, HSBC Türkiye.

Burçin Ozan is a Board Member at HSBC Yatırım Menkul Değerler A.Ş. (Securities Company).

Funda Temoçin - Head of Human Resources

Funda Temoçin is a graduate of Bosphorus University Department of Psychology. Having started her career in Humanitas Doğuş Human Resources Management in 2000, Temoçin took on a number of roles in human resources management and applications in different industries before joining HSBC Türkiye.

She was Human Resources Assistant Manager at Tansaş Retail Group between 2003 and 2005, and Human Resources Manager and then Human Resources Director at Hedef Alliance Holding between 2005 and 2008. Temoçin was HR Director in Savola Foods during 2008 and 2012. She was as Human Resources Director at TÜVTÜRK between 2012 and 2013, and was the Head of HR at Cigna Finans Emeklilik ve Hayat A.Ş. between 2013 and 2017, responsible for all areas of human resources. Temoçin joined HSBC Türkiye in September 2017 and has been serving as Head of HR.

Cem Muratoğlu - Head of Wealth and Personal Banking

Cem Muratoğlu graduated from Orta Doğu Teknik University (Middle East Technical University), Department of Petroleum Engineering and holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Bilkent University.

Muratoğlu has held senior managerial positions in the banking sector at strategy, investor relations, corporate banking and retail banking departments.

Cem Muratoğlu, who holds over a 30 years of experience in the banking sector, was appointed as HSBC Turkiye’s Head of Wealth and Personal Banking on 5 January 2024.

Namık Aksel - Head of Global Markets

Namık holds a BA in Business Administration from Boğaziçi University and is a graduate of Harvard Business School-GMP. He started his career in 1993 and worked in leading private bank Yapi Kredi Bank for 11 years before joining HSBC. He was the CEO of HSBC Asset Management company before taking up his current role as the Head of Markets Turkey. He has strong experience in Treasury - Markets, Asset Management and Wealth Management areas. Throughout his career he has been active in representing HSBC in respective industrial bodies, i.e. board membership at the Turkish Institutional Investment Managers Association (a member of EFAMA) and two consecutive terms (4 years) of board membership at Turkey Capital Markets Association. Previously he has been the vice chairman of HSBC’s asset management company in Turkey and currently he is the vice chairman of the HSBC Yatırım Menkul Değerler A.Ş., the stock brokerage company of HSBC in Turkey.

Seyyare Özbaşlı Tınaz - Chief Operating Officer

Seyyare Özbaşlı Tınaz graduated from Boğaziçi University, Department of Business Administration and holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Fordham University. Tınaz, who has 25 year of experience in banking sector, began her banking career in 1998 at JPMorgan Chase New York as a Project Manager. During her 7 years tenure at JPMorgan Chase, she held various Vice President roles in Project Management, Strategic Planning and Risk Management departments. Tınaz joined Lehman Brothers as a Program Director in 2005 and worked in their New York and London offices. She returned to Istanbul as Lehman Turkiye’s COO during the initiation of their Turkish business.

Seyyare Özbaşlı Tınaz joined HSBC as Corporate Banking Senior Program Manager in 2012. After serving as Global and Corporate Banking Business Director, Tınaz was appointed as HSBC Turkiye COO on 6 January 2023.

Peter Kallo - Chief Credit and Risk Officer

Peter Kallo has taken his bachelor’s degree in history from Edinburgh University and master degree in Global Executive in MBA from Insead.Peter started his Professional career in 2009 as a Strategy Manager at HSBC London and worked as an international manager in various areas such as wholesale banking and portfolio management within the HSBC Group in England, Thailand and Kazakhstan for over 15 years. Between 2018-2024 he worked as Managing Director, Chief Underwriting Officer & Head of Portfolio Management, Continental Europe Global Banking in HSBC France.Peter Kallo was appointed as HSBC Türkiye Chief Credit and Risk Officer on 2 September 2024.

Tolga Tüzüner - General Counsel

Tüzüner joined HSBC Türkiye in 2010 as General Counsel within the department of Legal & Corporate Secretary. After graduating from the Faculty of Law at Ankara University, he completed his master’s in Business Administration at Bilkent University. Tüzüner, who has 18 years of professional experience in the banking sector, had a number of roles in different banks including Citibank Turkey before joining HSBC. His areas of expertise include Banking and Finance, Central Bank Regulations, Labour Law, Commercial Banking, Corporate Governance, Clearing/Custody and Trade Financing.
