SMS One Time Password is the password that is sent to your registered mobile phone via SMS to log on to Internet Banking. You will only have a limited access to Internet Banking with SMS One Time Password.

One Time Password SMSs are free of charge.

The subscribers of all operators can benefit from SMS One Time Password.

You will have limited access to Internet Banking transactions when you log on via SMS One Time Password.

In case of excessive usage of your mobile mailbox or if you're abroad and your service is inactive for International Roaming, the messages we sent may not be received. Please check your SMS inbox periodically and if you are abroad and your mobile is inactive for International Roaming, contact your GSM operator to activate International Roaming.

You will have limited access to Internet Banking transactions when you log on via SMS One Time Password.

A “SMS One Time Password” will be sent again when you restart the log on steps.

The passwords that are sent to your mobile phone are only valid for the log on session you are in. Since they cannot be used in the next sessions, there is no need to save them, you can delete them after usage.

In the case that your mobile phone number changes, you should update your mobile phone number recorded in our bank. You can realise that from,

• HSBC ATMs if you have a HSBC Debit Card or Credit Card and PIN,
• Or from our branches.
